BEYOND THE JOB: Lavendar’s Story and Why We Never Gave Up 🧵✨
When Lavendar joined ByHer four years ago, she was a young mother looking for a steady opportunity.
Like many women who come through our doors, she wasn’t just looking for a job. She was looking for a real chance to build a secure, dignified future for herself and her children.
From the very beginning, Lavendar stood out. She was incredibly eager to learn, hardworking, and deeply determined to grow. Over time, she mastered every single stage of our production process, from raw cutting and assembly to precision stitching. Today, she is the only member of our team who can comfortably operate across all production stations.
But her journey wasn’t without hurdles.
As a mother of three young children, balancing demanding workshop hours and family responsibilities was a constant challenge. Lavender often struggled with lateness due to the long transit distance to her children’s daycare.
As a business, we had a clear choice to make:
- We could focus solely on the operational challenge.
- Or we could look at the human being behind it.
We chose the second option.
Because at ByHer, true empowerment is not just about writing a paycheck. It is about understanding the real-world barriers that vulnerable women face and intentionally adapting our environment so they can succeed despite them. We continued to support Lavender's invested heavily in her growth, and recognized her immense potential.
Over time, her confidence grew right alongside her technical skills. Today, Lavender is one of the foundational pillars of our workshop. She takes immense pride in her craft, mentors new team members by example, and continues to grow professionally.
One day, she came to us and said something we will never forget:

For us, that single moment meant more than any corporate sales target or business milestone. Behind every ByHer product is a woman like Lavender, a woman whose incredible talent simply needed an opportunity to shine.
