People often ask us: What does “ByHer” mean?
The answer is simple.
ByHer literally means “Made by Her.”
But for us, it means much more than that.
When I founded ByHer, I wanted to create a brand that would celebrate the talent, resilience, and creativity of African women while creating meaningful economic opportunities for them.
From day one, we made a commitment:
At least 80% of our workforce would be women.
Today, that commitment remains at the heart of everything we do.
In our Nairobi workshop, 8 out of our 10 full-time employees are women. Among our part-time team members, 8 out of 15 are women.
Behind every ByHer bag, pouch, laptop sleeve, and corporate gift is a woman using her skills to earn an income, support her family, and build a better future.
